Daily Fantasy Basketball Injury Report: Friday 11/4/16

A couple of starting point guards are sitting out on Friday, which opens up a lot of value in NBA DFS tonight.

While there are some big injuries on Friday's nine-game DFS slate, it's the lesser injuries that are more plentiful.

This could end up opening up some intriguing punt values for the night, and some of them could end up in the perfect lineup come tomorrow morning.

Notable Injuries

Jeremy Lin, Brooklyn Nets

One of the biggest injuries on Friday is Jeremy Lin who will miss at least the next two weeks with a hamstring strain. Lin's absence hurts an an already offensively limited Nets team, but it could end up being the injury that opens up the most value tonight. Randy Foye is ready to return on Friday, but there is no word on whether his minutes will be limited coming off a hamstring injury. Sean Kilpatrick went nuts in the game Lin left early, and if Foye is on a minutes limit, he could be the play in the Brooklyn Nets' backcourt. Isaiah Whitehead could also end up playing a role, but is third tier in DFS options from the Nets' guards tonight.

Tony Parker, San Antonio Spurs

The other big backcourt injury on Friday is Tony Parker, who is out tonight and will miss about a week for the San Antonio Spurs. Parker's role in the Spurs' offense has been diminished to start this year, but Patrick Mills should see a large boost in value on Friday. One could argue that Mills brings more to the Spurs' offense than Parker, so look for him to be a popular value play.

Deron Williams and Dirk Nowitzki, Dallas Mavericks

Coming into Friday it looked like there was a chance that Dirk Nowitzki and Deron Williams were both in danger of missing Friday's game. They both look like they are going to play, but Nowitzki's Achilles is reportedly not feeling well. Williams was said to be "questionable at best" on Thursday, but he said he was never in danger in missing Friday's game. Monitor both players as we approach roster lock tonight. Nowitzki has already been ruled out once in the final minutes before roster lock, and with his age and miles, it likely won't be the last time that happens this season.

Lesser Injuries

Doug McDermott, Chicago Bulls

Doug McDermott is still in the league's concussion protocol and is questionable to play in tonight's game against the New York Knicks. If he is out again, Nikola Mirotic could see some extended run at both forward spots and is a great play on Friday.

Brandan Wright, Memphis Grizzlies

Brandan Wright will miss some time for the Memphis Grizzlies, and without him, their frontcourt gets a lot thinner. Zach Randolph might have to play some minutes at center, and JaMychal Green could see a little more run too.

Boris Diaw, Utah Jazz

Boris Diaw is out on Friday and will miss the next couple of weeks for the Utah Jazz. Derrick Favors and Trey Lyles will take care of the power forward minutes against the San Antonio Spurs.

Josh Richardson, Miami Heat

Josh Richardson is ready to make his season debut on Friday, but coming off a torn MCL, he likely won't play a ton of minutes. His return hurts Tyler Johnson and Rodney McGruder the most.

Timofey Mozgov, Los Angeles Lakers

Timofey Mozgov is a game-time decision on Friday, but he was initially ruled doubtful. If he misses again, Tarik Black, Larry Nance Jr., and Julius Randle all deserve a bump.

Dante Cunningham, New Orleans Pelicans

After getting the start over the last two games, Dante Cunningham will be out Friday after getting suspended. Both Lance Stephenson and Terrence Jones are now extremely intriguing options in DFS on Friday.
