Daily Fantasy Basketball Injury Report: Thursday 12/8/16

Thursday's shorter slate is still stacked with injuries for a handful of teams that you must be monitoring before lineups lock.

Thursday is usually a light night when it comes to injuries, and with 10 games on Wednesday and not a lot of injury questions, we have a stacked card of injuries, both known and unknown, for the upcoming six-game slate to sift through before roster lock.

Notable Injuries

Utah Jazz

Here we go again with the Utah Jazz.

Even though they are blessed with getting the Golden State Warriors on their third game in four nights, Utah is going to be without several starters. Rodney Hood and George Hill are out, as is Gordon Hayward, who is dealing with pain from that troublesome finger.

Guys like Shelvin Mack, Joe Johnson and Rudy Gobert are going to be popular plays, while Joe Ingles and Trey Lyles could also be fine values.

Memphis Grizzlies

There are no changes to the Memphis Grizzlies injury report for Thursday. Vince Carter looked like he might have had a chance to play, but he is out. Zach Randolph is back as expected, so he, JaMychal Green and Marc Gasol will likely keep doing the heavy lifting on offense.

With Carter and the other wing injuries, Tony Allen, Wade Baldwin IV and Troy Daniels all provide some intrigue.

Philadelphia 76ers

It's good and bad news for the Philadelphia 76ers, as Jahlil Okafor will sit out tonight, but Robert Covington will make his return. Covington's return does hurt the value of both Ersan Ilyasova and Dario Saric, so outside of Joel Embiid, you're playing with fire when rostering other Sixers.

Jrue Holiday, New Orleans Pelicans

Jrue Holiday is dealing with some turf toe and his status might come down to a game-time decision. E'Twaun Moore is also listed as questionable with a toe issue, so if both guys are on the sideline, Tim Frazier will have to play a ton of minutes against the Sixers.

Maurice Harkless, Portland Trail Blazers

Maurice Harkless is questionable Thursday night and if he is out, it could create excellent value with the Portland Trail Blazers. Al-Farouq Aminu still seems to be on a strict minutes limit, so Harkless' potential absence could allow Allen Crabbe or Evan Turner to shine.

Tony Parker, San Antonio Spurs

Tony Parker missed Tuesday's game and his status is very much up in the air. Patrick Mills played 27 minutes and played them well while stepping in. Even if he comes off the bench, he seems to be the best plug-in when Parker isn't available.

Shaun Livingston, Golden State Warriors

Shaun Livingston cropped up on the injury report late in the afternoon and he will not play on Thursday. Golden State is playing a very banged up Jazz team, but as mentioned earlier, the Warriors are on their third game in four nights. This one could get interesting.
