5 Daily Fantasy Basketball Value Plays for 2/2/17
One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-priced options into your lineup.
Let's take a look at five players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.
Raymond Felton, PG, Los Angeles Clippers
FanDuel Price: $4,600
Projected FanDuel Points: 20.5
Projected FanDuel Value: 4.47
While Chris Paul has been out with a thumb injury, Raymond Felton has filled in nicely with averages of 11.3 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 3.8 assists over the past six games. The Los Angeles Clippers recently lost by 46 points to their opponent tonight, the Golden State Warriors, but Felton still managed to record 10 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in that game.
Felton owns the fourth-highest projected value among all point guards playing tonight.
Nik Stauskas, SG, Philadelphia 76ers
FanDuel Price: $3,700
Projected FanDuel Points: 19.2
Projected FanDuel Value: 5.19
Robert Covington is listed as doubtful tonight, so other players will need to step up in his stead. Enter Nik Stauskas, who has been trigger happy with the ball as of late, averaging 10.3 field goal attempts over his last four games, including 5.3 attempts from deep range. Stauskas has been converting, as well, as he's averaging 12 points and 2.3 three-pointers during that span.
Stauskas owns the highest projected value among all players at his position on Thursday's slate. Also, he shares the best defense-versus-position rank among all shooting guards with teammates Timothe Luwawu and Gerald Henderson.
Andre Iguodala, SF, Golden State Warriors
FanDuel Price: $4,400
Projected FanDuel Points: 18.6
Projected FanDuel Value: 4.23
Though Andre Iguodala hasn't wowed in the box score all season long, he has played serviceable minutes with consistent multi-category contributions. In two games versus the Clippers this season, Iguodala is putting up 9.5 points, 6 rebounds, and 3.5 assists.
Iguodala is projected to net the sixth-most FanDuel points among all small forwards tonight, so he may be worthy of a flier. The Warriors have the highest implied total at 118 points in a game with the narrowest spread of the night, so Iguodala could see a lot of involvement.
Dario Saric, PF, Philadelphia 76ers
FanDuel Price: $4,400
Projected FanDuel Points: 19.1
Projected FanDuel Value: 4.44
Joel Embiid will sit tonight, which could mean a bump in minutes for fellow rookie Dario Saric. Though Jahlil Okafor and Nerlens Noel will soak up minutes at the center position, Saric has held his own lately with averages of 13 points, 5 rebounds and 2.2 assists over his last six games.
Saric is projected to post the ninth-best value among all power forwards on tonight's slate.
Dewayne Dedmon, C, San Antonio Spurs
FanDuel Price: $3,600
Projected FanDuel Points: 28.0
Projected FanDuel Value: 7.78
With LaMarcus Aldridge ruled out tonight, the San Antonio Spurs will divvy extra minutes to their big men, one of them being Dewayne Dedmon. Playing a surplus of minutes will behoove Dedmon as he's averaging 8.2 points, 8.6 rebounds and 1.7 blocks in the nine games this season he has logged 20-plus minutes.
Dedmon boasts the highest projected value among all players on Thursday's small slate. Furthermore, Dedmon owns the second-best defense-versus-position rank among all centers on Wednesday's slate.
