Daily Fantasy Basketball Injury Report: Thursday 2/9/17

The big story of the night is that the Cleveland Cavaliers may rest most of their core players tonight on the second half of a back-to-back set. Obviously, if that happens, it will open up a ton of value on the Cavs.

There are also several other players who will be or might be sitting out tonight, so finding low-cost value plays should not be a problem on this short slate.

Cleveland Cavaliers

Everyone is waiting on hard news from the Cavs about what they are going to do with their big three. LeBron James, Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving all have a chance of sitting out tonight. Even though all three may sit, even if just one is sidelined, it would open up a meaningful amount of minutes and shots. Nothing is set in stone yet, but Channing Frye, Richard Jefferson, Kyle Korver and Tristan Thompson could all play increased roles on Thursday.

Philadelphia 76ers

Both Joel Embiid and Richaun Holmes will not play tonight, so expect to see Jahlil Okafor and Nerlens Noel to take over most of the minutes at center. Ersan Ilyasova could also see a slight bump.

Aaron Gordon, Orlando Magic

Aaron Gordon will not play tonight due to a foot injury. With him out, Jeff Green should take over a big chunk of Gordon's minutes while Mario Hezonja and Serge Ibaka should also see an uptick in workload.

Cody Zeller, Charlotte Hornets

After sitting out seven games, Cody Zeller will make his return to the starting lineup tonight against the Houston Rockets. WIth Zeller back in the rotation, Frank Kaminsky will head back to the bench and is likely no longer in play.

Eric Gordon, Houston Rockets

Eric Gordon's back is flaring up again, and he missed shootaround this morning. K.J. McDaniels has also been ruled out due to the birth of his child. That leaves Sam Dekker and Corey Brewer to take over Gordon's minutes if he can't go. Both are in play if that's the case.

Seth Curry, Dallas Mavericks

Seth Curry came out of Tuesday's game with a shoulder stinger, but he is not listed on the Dallas Mavericks injury report heading into Thursday. Unless we hear an update, it's safe to assume he will be active against the Utah Jazz.

Evan Turner, Portland Trail Blazers

Evan Turner will be out for the next five to six weeks with a fractured hand. It's a tough blow for Turner and the Portland Trail Blazers because he was starting to play pretty well. However, while he's out, expect Maurice Harkless and Allen Crabbe to see expanded roles.
