Daily Fantasy Basketball Injury Report: Thursday 3/2/17

With Kevin Durant out, Klay Thompson will likely see a bigger role, starting with tonight's matchup at Chicago.

With only three games on Thursday there aren't too many injuries you have to keep track of. However, we will get our first look at the Golden State Warriors without their newest star.

Kevin Durant, Golden State Warriors

Kevin Durant is out indefinitely with a Grade 2 MCL sprain and a bone bruise in his knee. This does about a million things to the Warriors and the league overall, but for tonight against the Chicago Bulls, you have to think that this benefits Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. According to NBAWowy, both Curry and Thompson have usage rates of more than 31 percent with Durant off the court this year.

Andre Iguodala will likely be expected to step up, whether he enters the starting lineup or not. He should be a great play while Durant is out, and he's still cheap. Matt Barnes is also officially a Warrior. He will be in uniform tonight, but he has yet to practice with the team so he might not play much.

Patrick McCaw and Ian Clark could also see more time if Golden State goes smaller and slides Thompson to small forward for stretches. Right now, the other All-Stars and Iguodala seem like the best DFS plays until we see how this plays out.

Victor Oladipo, Oklahoma City Thunder

Victor Oladipo did not travel with the Oklahoma City Thunder for their game against the Portland Trail Blazers. Without him, Russell Westbrook should continue to see a boatload of shots, while Alex Abrines will probably continue to play bigger minutes. Doug McDermott has a chance to play more, as well.

Ed Davis, Portland Trail Blazers

The Blazers are dealing with some bad news as Ed Davis will miss the rest of the season with shoulder surgery. This should result in Meyers Leonard and Noah Vonleh getting more run.

Chicago Bulls

Michael Carter-Williams is a game time decision tonight, but with the acquisition of Cameron Payne, MCW may not see too many minutes even if he plays. Paul Zipser is expected to play tonight, so look for him to potentially take some minutes away from Denzel Valentine.
