Daily Fantasy Basketball Injury Report, Presented By Rhelief: Monday 3/6/17
With a dozen games on the main slate tonight, Monday should be wild night of NBA DFS. There is always the potential for late-breaking injury news, but jumpstart your injury research with the list below to get you a step ahead when monitoring for breaking news later in the evening.
Notable Injuries
Chicago Bulls
Dwyane Wade will sit out on Monday, and Rajon Rondo is a game-time decision for the Chicago Bulls. With Wade out, Jimmy Butler is going to be one of the more popular options of the night in both cash games and tournaments, but there are some other Bulls worth looking at.
Michael Carter-Williams might find his way back into the rotation, or Denzel Valentine could be a candidate for big minutes. The Bulls also might slide Butler over to shooting guard and play Paul Zipser a few more minutes. All three of these guys are viable tournament options, especially if Rondo ends up being out too.
Boston Celtics
Both Al Horford and Avery Bradley missed Sunday's game, but it looks like Bradley will be back in action tonight. Horford is still questionable, so monitor his status. However, the C's play late against the Los Angeles Clippers, so we might not know any more on Horford's status before rosters lock.
Cleveland Cavaliers
LeBron James and Kyrie Irving rested on Saturday, so we fully expect them to be back in the starting lineup on Monday against the Miami Heat. Also, check on Iman Shumpert's status before tip off, as he got some teeth knocked out on Saturday.
Philadelphia 76ers
Jahlil Okafor is doubtful on Monday, so the probable Richaun Holmes will likely be in for some bigger minutes and production. Also, Gerald Henderson is probable to return, which should push Nik Stauskas back to the bench.
Sacramento Kings
Garrett Temple made his return on Sunday, but he will sit out on Monday for the Sacramento Kings. However, Tyreke Evans will be back in uniform tonight against the Denver Nuggets.
Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets
Probably the biggest piece of news to watch tonight is the status of Nikola Jokic. The Joker is questionable and didn't go through morning shootaround. If he is out, Mason Plumlee is a must play on Monday. Monitor this situation closely.
Nikola Vucevic, Orlando Magic
Nikola Vucevic was a late scratch last night, and Bismack Biyombo ended up having a huge game. Expect similar results on Monday if Vucevic is forced to miss another game.
Frank Kaminsky, Charlotte Hornets
Frank Kaminsky will be out the next 10-14 days and, without him, the Charlotte Hornets will have to turn to Marvin Williams and Cody Zeller more. Both are great value options on Monday against the Indiana Pacers.
Lesser Injuries
Joe Harris, Brooklyn Nets
Joe Harris is in the league's concussion protocol and will not play Monday. Sean Kilpatrick looks like the guy to target on the Brooklyn Nets while Harris is out.
Joe Johnson, Utah Jazz
Joe Johnson missed Sunday's game, and there has been no word on his status for Monday. If he is out again, Rodney Hood, Alec Burks, and Joe Ingles will pick up the slack.
Michael Beasley, Milwaukee Bucks
Michael Beasley has missed three games after he suferred a knee hyperextension, and there has been no word on whether he has a chance to make his return. It could shake up the Milwaukee Bucks rotation, so keep an eye out for an update on his status.
Lavoy Allen, Indiana Pacers
Lavoy Allen is questionable tonight. If he's out again, look for C.J. Miles and Thaddeus Young to pick up some extra run.
