Daily Fantasy Basketball Injury Report: Wednesday 4/12/17
It's a big night of NBA DFS in the regular season finale, and there are plenty of guys sitting out or potentially playing limited minutes in the final day of the regular season.
There should be no shortage of value tonight on a massive 14-game slate.
Notable Injuries
Milwaukee Bucks
The Milwaukee Bucks are sitting out four of their starters, including Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton. Without those guys, Malcolm Brogdon, Rashad Vaughn, Greg Monroe and Michael Beasley should all be in play tonight.
New York Knicks
Even though they are listed as questionable in the New York Knicks game notes, both Kristaps Porzingis and Carmelo Anthony are not expected to play tonight. If that's the case look for Guillermo Hernangomez, Mindaugas Kuzminskas, Maurice Ndour and Justin Holiday to be nice DFS options on Wednesday.
Atlanta Hawks
All five of the Atlanta Hawks' starters are being rested tonight after locking up the 5 seed in the Eastern Conference. Thabo Sefolosha is also probable, but the DFS plays you'll want to look at are Malcolm Delaney, Mike Muscala and of course, Ersan Ilyasova
Washington Wizards
John Wall, Bradley Beal and Markieff Morris are all out, while Marcin Gortat and Otto Porter will play limited minutes. Brandon Jennings and Bojan Bogdanovic and Jason Smith are going to be popular DFS potions tonight.
Miami Heat
The Miami Heat were hoping to have Dion Waiters and Josh McRoberts back for tonight's must-win game, but that won't be the case. Look for the same rotation from Miami tonight.
Cleveland Cavaliers
LeBron James will not play tonight, but there is a chance that Kyrie Irving does. Even if Irving does suit up, it likely won't be for a full slate of minutes, and with Tristan Thompson's status in the air, the Cleveland Cavaliers will have to lean on Channing Frye, J.R. Smith and Kyle Korver more.
Denver Nuggets
The Denver Nuggets are still down several players in this meaningless game, and if they play tonight similarly to last night, the only players you'll want to look at in DFS include Gary Harris, Jamal Murray and Mason Plumlee if Nikola Jokic's minutes are limited.
Detroit Pistons
The Detroit Pistons are continuing evaluation mode tonight. They will start Stanley Johnson over Marcus Morris, and Jon Leuer is back in the starting lineup over Henry Ellenson. It's probably an avoidable situation after Detroit played 11 guys in their last game.
Brooklyn Nets
The Brooklyn Nets are sitting out Brook Lopez, Jeremy Lin and Trevor Booker. Justin Hamilton looks like a nice play tonight in the Nets' frontcourt, while Isaiah Whitehead and Spencer Dinwiddie should divvy up the minutes at point guard.
Utah Jazz
Everyone is available for the Utah Jazz except Raul Neto. However, there has been no word on whether they will play a full game or have their minutes limited.
Portland Trail Blazers
There has been no word on any of the Portland Trail Blazers starters tonight expect Damian Lillard, who says he wants to play one more game before the playoffs. However, with playoff seeding locked up, it's unlikely he plays big minutes.
Golden State Warriors
Both Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala will not play tonight for the Golden State Warriors, and with Kevon Looney and Matt Barnes also out, there will be a lot of minutes to go around at the two forward spots for Golden State. Patrick McCaw and James Michael McAdoo seem the most likely to play big minutes with all the guys out.
D'Angelo Russell, Los Angeles Lakers
D'Angelo Russell did not play last night, and there has been no word on his status for the Los Angeles Lakers, but double check his status before roster lock if possible.
Dirk Nowitzki, Dallas Mavericks
Dirk Nowitzki is sitting out the final game of the regular season for the Dallas Mavericks, so look for Harrison Barnes to pick up some usage, assuming he is back from resting last night. Dwight Powell and Salah Mejri also get a bump.
Rajon Rondo, Chicago Bulls
Rajon Rondo participated in shootaround this morning for the Chicago Bulls, and he is a game time decision. He would send Jerian Grant back to the bench and could impact Jimmy Butler's usage some.
Lesser Injuries
James Ennis, Memphis Grizzlies
James Ennis is questionable tonight, and with the Memphis Grizzlies not playing for anything, he is probably closer to doubtful. Look for Vince Carter and Troy Daniels to pick up some extra minutes.
Aaron Brooks, Indiana Pacers
Aaron Brooks had to leave last night's game, and if he is unable to play tonight in a must-win game for the Indiana Pacers, look for Lance Stephenson to get some more run.
