NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Wednesday 1/10/18
If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.
With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.
Here, we'll put all of that together and take a look at who you should target on today's slate.
Best of the Best
Russell Westbrook (FanDuel Price: $11,100) - Tonight's 11-game slate is loaded, and there are a lot of different ways to build lineups. You can spend down at practically every position, so that gives us enough flexibility to load up on studs, including Westbrook, who has averaged 60.1 FanDuel points per game over his past 10. In that span, the Oklahoma City Thunder have operated as the league's most efficient offense, too. Minnesota's defense is trending up, but Westbrook is projected for 52.8 FanDuel points (4.75 per $1,000 in salary).
DeMarcus Cousins ($11,600) - Cousins and the New Orleans Pelicans will likely play this game without Anthony Davis. Per NBAWowy, Cousins owns a 38.2% usage rate without Davis on the court, generating 1.70 FanDuel points per minute. Boogie is top-10 in touches per game over the past 10 games, and touches correlate strongly to FanDuel points per contest.
