NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Tuesday 12/11/18
If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.
With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.
We'll also be coming at you with this primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.
Let's take a look at who you should target on today's main slate.
Best of the Best
James Harden ($11,500): Harden's 51.4 FanDuel points per game are on pace to be his fewest since the 2015-16 season, but they're still good for the fifth-most in the NBA as well as the most among all players in action on tonight's short three-game slate. With at least 40 FanDuel points in 21 of his 22 games this season, you're not going to find a player on this slate with a higher floor than Harden. He's also topped 70 FanDuel points three times in his last 10 contests, with the NBA's second-highest single-game fantasy score (81.1 FanDuel points) only seven games ago. No team on the slate allows more FanDuel points per minute to shooting guards than the Portland Trail Blazers do, so it's no surprise to see Harden as our top-projected player on Tuesday.
