NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Wednesday 2/6/19
If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.
With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.
We'll also be coming at you with this primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.
Let's take a look at who you should target on today's main slate.
Best of the Best
James Harden ($14,000): What is there left to say about Harden's recent run? He's up to 27 games since getting hot in mid-December now, and he's averaged 68.2 FanDuel points per game in that time. Anthony Davis isn't all that far behind (65.5), but he's not a lock to return (or play full minutes) tonight. The next best mark is 11.9 fantasy points behind Harden -- or 17% lower. He's shown his production can remain stellar with Chris Paul in the lineup, dropping at least 69 FanDuel points in three of the last four games with Paul (and 54.7 in that fourth), and he also draws a great matchup tonight. The Sacramento Kings allow the NBA's third-most FanDuel points per minute to opposing point guards, and while Harden gets officially listed as a shooting guard, he's the team's primary ball-handler (34.6% usage rate in those last four games with Paul), and he should have no trouble taking advantage of this spot.
