NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Tuesday 2/12/19
If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.
With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.
We'll also be coming at you with this primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.
Let's take a look at who you should target on today's main slate.
Best of the Best
Anthony Davis ($12,500): Davis' first two games back have answered the two big questions you might have about his fantasy prospects moving forward. Is he fully back from his injury? And what are his minutes going to look like? His first outing answered any concerns about efficiency post-injury as he topped 50 FanDuel points while not hitting even 30 minutes. He worked his way up to 34 minutes in his next game, and even if that's where his playing time settles (instead of the high-30's like we saw earlier this season), he will offer massive upside with his league-leading efficiency. AD's price-tag is also way down now, after hovering in the $13,000-14,000 range before his injury. Getting him at something of a discount is easy to like, even in a shaky matchup against the Orlando Magic, and we project him as the top fantasy scorer on the slate.
