NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Sunday 4/21/19
If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.
With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.
We'll also be coming at you with this primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.
Let's take a look at who you should target on today's main slate, which starts at 1:00 p.m. EST and features four games.
Best of the Best
Paul George ($10,400): It's simple -- I don't love the small forward position on this slate. If I do pay up at small forward, I prefer to grab PG13 rather than Kevin Durant. Both are projected among the top three players on this slate, per our models, but we have George forecasted for 4.2 more fantasy points and he could be the lower-owned guy of the two. PG has struggled shooting the ball but has played more minutes than Durant in all three games in this round of the playoffs. He just isn't hitting his shots. George is a miserable 22-of-60 from the field, including an uncharacteristic 8-of-29 from beyond the arc. If George can get cooking early in this one, his minutes and opportunity could propel him to be the highest-scoring player on the entire slate.
