3 NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on Tuesday 5/4/21

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at three players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Marvin Bagley, PF, Sacramento Kings ($5,500)

The Sacramento Kings have a few injuries tonight and offer some clear value options.

The Kings' injury situation should put Marvin Bagley III in a spot to be the starting power forward, and Sacramento has a very soft matchup versus the Oklahoma City Thunder. This season, the Thunder are allowing 49.44 FanDuel points per game to power forwards, which is the most in the league. This game features a solid 228.0-point over/under, and both teams are in the top 12 in pace.

Bagley is projected for 35.23 minutes and 35.7 FanDuel points, according to our algorithm, making him the third-best point-per-dollar value option on tonight's slate. Expect Bagley to be very chalky, but he is well worth the roster spot in a matchup this favorable.

DeAndre Jordan, C, Brooklyn Nets ($4,800)

With a slate-high 241.0-point over/under, the Brooklyn Nets-Milwaukee Bucks matchup is a spot you want to zero in on for some fantasy exposure. This is a repeat of the matchup we saw on Sunday, which ended 117-114 in favor of the Bucks. If we are going to see another close, high-scoring game, there are plenty of spots to look for viable fantasy options.

While paying up for the stars in this game is great, there are a number of value options to consider, as well. DeAndre Jordan is a player who often goes overlooked on some slates since he doesn't always bring a ton of offensive upside. However, he brings plenty of production on a point-per-dollar basis, and he showed that off on Sunday, going for 28.2 FanDuel points in 23 minutes.

While Jordan has only a 16.8% usage rate within the Nets' projected starting lineup, he is producing a very solid 1.28 FanDuel points per minute. This comes from his ability to pick up rebounds and put-backs, something we should see plenty of due to the potential back-and-forth nature of this game.

Dean Wade, PF, Cleveland Cavaliers ($3,500)

The Cleveland Cavaliers could be down to only eight or nine players tonight, opening up minutes for Dean Wade.

Wade has seen his playing time jump up in the past few games, getting 26-plus minutes in three of his last four games. If he is going to see close to 30 minutes, he has to be considered a solid value option since he is at the minimum salary.

While the matchup against the Phoenix Suns isn't the easiest, Wade doesn't have to do a ton in order to reach his salary-based value. In fact, he is projected to exceed that, with our model forecasting him to generate 20.5 FanDuel points in 27.53 minutes.
