Anthony Davis (finger) could return for Pelicans next week
New Orleans Pelicans forward/center Anthony Davis could return as early as next week, according to agent Rich Paul.
“It’s a better outcome than we originally feared," Paul tells ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, adding that they will "proceed with caution." Davis will sit out the Pelicans' back-to-back on Wednesday and Thursday before being re-evaluated on Friday. The next three games for New Orleans after that are on Saturday and then another back-to-back on Tuesday and Thursday. Jahlil Okafor will likely continue to start, while there will also be more work for Julius Randle, Nikola Mirotic, and Jrue Holiday.
Davis has averaged 29.3 points, 13.3 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 1.7 steals, and 2.6 blocks for 61.2 FanDuel points per game this season.
