Damian Lillard expects C.J. McCollum (knee) to sit for Trail Blazers until postseason
Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard believes guard C.J. McCollum should remain sidelined until the playoffs to allow his injured knee to heal.
McCollum reportedly suffered a popliteus strain in his left knee on Saturday night and will be re-examined in one week. "I don’t want him to have to rush it. And when he does come back, I want him to be himself and be healthy," Lillard said. "So, in my mind, we’re going to finish the regular season without him." The Trail Blazers have 12 games remaining on the calendar.
McCollum is averaging 32.5 FanDuel points in 68 games this season, with 21.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 0.8 steals, and 2.4 triples per contest.
