LeBron James (abdominal) likely out for Lakers at least 1 week
Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (abdominal) is expected to miss at least one week, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
James has already been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder and it appears he will miss at least three more after that. Per Charania, the Lakers want to take a cautious approach this early in the season. Russell Westbrook and Anthony Davis will take on larger offensive roles without James. Malik Monk and Carmelo Anthony could also see more playing time. Monk started in place of James earlier this season.
numberFire's models expect Davis to lead all players with 50.7 FanDuel points on Thursday and Westbrook is projected for the second-most at 50.3 FanDuel points. The Lakers have the second-highest implied total (112.25). on numberFire's NBA Heat Map.
