Kings acquiring Chris Duarte from Pacers

The Sacramento Kings are acquiring shooting guard Chris Duarte from the Indiana Pacers for draft compensation, per Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium.

What It Means:

Duarte's role with the Pacers shrunk in his second season as he averaged 19.5 minutes over 44 games, down from 28.0 minutes per game in his rookie season. The former lottery pick should have an opportunity to earn a larger role again in Sacramento.

Duarte averaged 0.73 FanDuel points per minute last year and 0.82 as a rookie. His true shooting percentage also fell from 53.7 to 49.6 in his second season. However, in the five games Duarte logged at least 30 minutes, he averaged 17.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.6 steals, and 2.4 3-pointers per contest.
