Kings' Chris Duarte (knee) cleared for contact, could play
Sacramento Kings shooting guard Chris Duarte (knee) has been cleared for contact.
Duarte injured his knee earlier this month, but the Kings are optimistic their offseason acquisition will make his team debut in Wednesday's opener against the Utah Jazz. The 26-year-old is expected to work with Sacramento's second unit this season. Malik Monk and Sasha Vezenkov could see more minutes off the bench if Duarte is unavailable.
numberFire's models project Duarte for 18.3 minutes and 14.1 FanDuel points in Wednesday's regular-season opener. His minutes per game plummeted from 28.0 as a rookie to 19.5 last season with the Indiana Pacers. Duarte's true shooting percentage also dropped from 53.7 to 49.6 in his second season.
