Pelicans' CJ McCollum diagnosed with collapsed lung, will go through added testing
New Orleans Pelicans guard CJ McCollum has been diagnosed with a pneumothorax, the team announced Sunday evening.
It's unclear the severity of the ailment - a pneumothorax could mean a complete lung collapse or just a partial one. The team said that he'll have additional examinations over the next 48 hours. It's safe to assume McCollum will miss Monday's contest against the Denver Nuggets, which could open up playing time for Kira Lewis Jr. and Dyson Daniels.
In 6 games this season, McCollum is averaging 21.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 41.6 FanDuel points.
