Jose Alvarado (ankle) upgraded Monday for Pelicans
New Orleans Pelicans guard Jose Alvarado (ankle) has been upgraded to probable for Monday's game against the Sacramento Kings.
Alvarado was previously listed as questionable, but he's ready to make his season debut. The Pelicans will likely limit Alvarado's workload after he missed the first 13 games of the season. However, his return will mean fewer available minutes in the backcourt for Kira Lewis, Jordan Hawkins, and Dyson Daniels.
Alvarado averaged 18.8 FanDuel points in 21.5 minutes per game last season, with a 19.9% usage rate. Per numberFire's NBA Heat Map, the Pelicans' implied total (118.0) is tied for fifth-highest out of 16 active teams on Monday. The game total (237.0) is second-highest on the board.
