Fred VanVleet (thumb) out Wednesday for Rockets
Houston Rockets guard Fred VanVleet (thumb) is out for Wednesday's game against the Denver Nuggets.
VanVleet played through the injury on Tuesday, but the Rockets are holding him out for the second leg of the back-to-back. The thumb injury may have contributed to VanVleet attempting fewer than 10 field goals for just the third time this season. Aaron Holiday will likely start and play extra minutes on Wednesday night.
Per numberFire's NBA Heat Map, the Rockets' implied total (103.75) and the game total (215.0) are both the lowest on Wednesday's seven-game slate. Holiday has a $3,900 salary on Wednesday and is averaging 0.71 FanDuel points per minute this season.
