Kyle Lowry traded from Heat to Hornets
The Charlotte Hornets are acquiring guard Kyle Lowry and a 2027 first-round pick from the Miami Heat on Tuesday in exchange for guard Terry Rozier.
What It Means:
Lowry is expected to work in a backup role and compete with Nick Smith and Ish Smith for minutes. He turns 38 in March and is approaching the end of his career.
Lowry averaged 21.3 FanDuel points in 28.0 minutes per game for the Heat this season, with 8.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.7 three-pointers.
