Onyeka Okongwu (toe) out indefinitely for Hawks
Atlanta Hawks center Onyeka Okongwu (left big toe sprain) is out for "the foreseeable future," per head coach Quin Snyder.
Okongwu sprained his toe right before the All-Star break. Clint Capela (adductor) will return from a multi-game absence on Friday against the Toronto Raptors, so that should help make up for Okongwu's absence in the Hawks' frontcourt. Bruno Fernando will likely operate as the primary backup center while Okongwu is out.
Okongwu averaged 24.3 FanDuel points and 25.8 minutes per game before the break, with 10.2 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.1 blocks.
