Clippers' Blake Griffin now facing four-to-six week timeline
Los Angeles Clippers forward/center Blake Griffin underwent successful arthroscopic right knee surgery on Tuesday, and his timetable to return has been set at four-to-six weeks.
Griffin was originally given a three-to-six week return window, but now we have a more accurate estimate. Paul Pierce is expected to start against the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday, with Brandon Bass and Marreese Speights earning more minutes at the four as well. Head coach Doc Rivers will likely adjust his lineup based on the matchup.
Griffin is tied for 21st in the NBA (Kemba Walker) with a 3.0 nERD this season. He's averaging 21.2 points, 8.8 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.0 steals in 33.7 minutes per contest, while his .480 field goal percentage is career-low.
