Lakers' D'Angelo Russell's (knee) injury not believed to be serious
Los Angeles Lakers point guard D'Angelo Russell suffered a mild MCL sprain and a calf strain in Friday's win over the Indiana Pacers. He will undergo an MRI on Saturday.
Russell said that he was "just sore" after landing awkwardly on his knee, but we will have a better idea of the severity when the MRI results are announced. If the issue does sideline him at all, look for Jordan Clarkson and Lou Williams to see increased minutes.
Russell hasn't been having a great season, and his -2.7 nERD ranks 423th in the NBA and is fourth-lowest mark among Lakers players.
