Celtics' Avery Bradley (Achilles) remains another week away
Boston Celtics guard Avery Bradley (Achilles) is likely a week away from returning to game action, according to general manager Danny Ainge.
This suggests that Bradley will remain out until at least February 3 against the Los Angeles Lakers, but the Celtics are going to take a very cautious approach with getting him back on the court. He's already been ruled out for Friday against the Orlando Magic and Saturday against the Milwaukee Bucks. Owners should hold while Marcus Smart and Terry Rozier continue to see more opportunity.
Bradley is averaging 17.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.3 steals and 2.1 3-pointers in 36 games this season, the best of his seven-year career. His 1.8 turnovers per game are a career-worst, however, and contributing to a -0.5 nERD that is tied for 11th on the Celtics.
