Nuggets' Emmanuel Mudiay (back) will remain sidelined until at least Wednesday
Denver Nuggets point guard Emmanuel Mudiay (back) will not travel with the team on their two-game road trip, meaning he will miss at least the next two games.
That rules Mudiay out on Saturday against the Phoenix Suns and Tuesday against the Los Angeles Lakers while he receives treatment for his back. Head coach Mike Malone downplayed the injury, so hopefully Mudiay can get back out there next Wednesday for a home game against the Memphis Grizzlies. Jameer Nelson should continue to start.
Our models have Nelson pegged for 10.8 points, 5.8 assists, 2.6 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 1.7 3-pointers in 30.3 minutes versus Phoenix on Saturday night. He's third-worst on the Lakers with a -2.8 nERD, better than only Mudiay and Jamal Murray.
