Suns' Devin Booker goes off in historic fashion with 70 points versus Celtics
Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker scored a franchise -record 70 points in Friday's loss to the Boston Celtics.
Wow. Booker was 21-40 from the floor and 24-for-26 from the line as he became the youngest player to score 60 or more points in an NBA game and just the sixth player to ever reach 70. He scored 51 points in the second half as the Suns force fed him and fouled Boston to give Booker more shots. He carried a 56.3 usage rate as he played all 24 minutes in the second half.
Booker finished the game with a 50.0% usage rate, 68.0% true shooting percentage, and a 58.55nERD rating, according to numberFire live.
