76ers will be without Jahlil Okafor for the rest of the year
Philadelphia 76ers center Jahlil Okafor (knee) has been ruled out for the rest of the year.
Okafor had been bothered by his knee for the last month or two, and the team has decided to sit him out and rest the injury. Richaun Holmes will continue to see extended minutes for the final week-plus left on the schedule. Okafor will still likely be on the trade block this offseason and could wind up playing in a different uniform in 2017-18.
Okafor finishes the season having played just 50 games while averaging 11.8 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game with a -2.3 nERD rating -- ranking 383rd out of 479 NBA players.
