Knicks' Derrick Rose (torn meniscus) out for season

New York Knicks point guard Derrick Rose suffered a torn meniscus in his left knee and has been ruled out for the remainder of the season.

What It Means:

Coach Jeff Hornacek recently said he was hopeful to have Rose back in the lineup soon, so it sounds like this diagnosis caught the Knicks by surprise. He will likely need a fourth knee surgery at the worst possible time as he's set to hit free agency this summer. We'll pass along more details when the Knicks provide an update. Ron Baker and Chasson Randle will handle the point guard duties the rest of the way.

Our models expect Baker to post 11.0 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.5 steals over 34.1 minutes against the Celtics.
