Miami's Dion Waiters expected to undergo season-ending ankle surgery
Miami Heat guard Dion Waiters has reportedly decided to undergo season-ending ankle surgery, according to Shams Charania of The Vertical.
Waiters has tried to recover without surgery to no avail. After getting multiple second opinions recommending an operation, the guard will reportedly shut it down for the season and go under the knife. He has been out since December 22. Tyler Johnson has been starting in his place with Wayne Ellington seeing extended minutes off the bench.
Waiters' year ends with 14.3 points, 2.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 23.7 FanDuel points per game.
