Spurs shut down Kawhi Leonard (quad) indefinitely
San Antonio Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard (quad) will be sidelined indefinitely.
Leonard didn't make his season debut until December because of the injury, and he has not been back at full strength the whole time, playing 9 games and sitting out for 9 games in that time. With his continued absence, look for LaMarcus Aldridge to once again shoulder a big offensive workload, while Kyle Anderson and Rudy Gay (when he returns from his hip injury) should see increased minutes.
Even playing hurt, Leonard looked great in his limited action, averaging 25.0 points, 7.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 3.1 steals and 1.5 blocks per 36 minutes.
