Lakers' Lonzo Ball (knee) recovering from MCL sprain
The Los Angeles Times' Tania Ganguli is reporting that Los Angeles Lakers point guard Lonzo Ball is recovering from an MCL sprain, and the team has been limited his lateral movement.
Ball hasn't played since suffering the injury on January 13th. Today's report is the first time the exact details of it has been revealed, though. According to Ganguli, it's a minor sprain and one that typically takes 1-to-3 weeks to recover from. He has yet to try lateral movement with it yet, as the Lakers are proceeding with caution. Jordan Clarkson and Tyler Ennis will continue to operate in his place until he's healthy.
In his first NBA season, Ball is averaging 10.2 points, 7.1 rebounds and 7.1 assists per game. The Lakers are 4-2 without him in the last 6.
