Knicks' Kristaps Porzingis has a torn left ACL, MRI confirms

New York Knicks forward/center Kristaps Porzingis has been diagnosed with torn left ACL with an MRI confirming, as reported by Ian Begley of ESPN.

What It Means:

Porzingis went down in the first half of Tuesday's loss to the Milwaukee Bucks and needed help from his teammates to make it to the locker room. An ACL tear required 6-to-9 months of rehab, ruling the Zinger out for the season and questionable to be healthy at the start of the 2018-19 season. Michael Beasley will likely assume the starting power forward spot for the Knicks.

Porzinigs ends the 2017-18 campaign with 22.9 points, 6.7 rebounds, and a league-high 2.4 blocks per game.
