Sixers' Joel Embiid diagnosed with concussion and orbital bone fracture
Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (face) had a CT scan and has been diagnosed with an orbital bone fracture and a concussion.
Per ESPN's Zach Lowe, if surgery is successful Embiid is expected to miss two to four weeks, which would put the first round of the playoffs in jeopardy. It's a huge blow to a Sixers team fighting for home court advantage in the first round, as Embiid will almost definitely be out the rest of the regular season. Dario Saric and the rest of the starters get a boost with this news, while Ersan Ilyasova, Amir Johnson, and Richaun Holmes should all see a bump in playing time until Embiid returns.
Embiid is averaging 43.0 FanDuel points per game this season.
