Pelicans' Tyreke Evans undergoes arthroscopic knee surgery
New Orleans Pelicans guard Tyreke Evans underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on his right knee on Tuesday morning.
Last week, Pelicans' coach Alvin Gentry said Evans would have his knee examined because of "a little soreness." It turned out to be more serious. This is obviously not good with the season set to begin in a week, and while arthroscopic surgeries are usually pretty minor, Evans will surely miss some time following this report. The Pelicans haven't released a timetable yet.
Evans played a career-high 79 games last season, averaging 16.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 6.6 assists per game.
