2. Malik Monk, Kentucky Wildcats

Malik Monk was the ninth-ranked recruit according to ESPN, but he wasn't satisfied with simply meeting expectations. So far this season, Monk has gone for a whopping 22.6 points on 51.6% shooting from the floor and 3.5 threes in 29.0 minutes per game.

In 14 games, that's good enough for 2.7 win shares and .266 win shares per 40 minutes of play -- which places him 17th nationally.

Monk is a 6'3" shooting guard who plays much bigger than he is. He's super athletic and lengthy with the ability to get shots up from anywhere at any time. At least to date, he's the best pure scorer of the class.
