5. Bruce Brown, Miami (FL) Hurricanes
Who's Bruce Brown, you might be asking? And, sure, it could be anyone given the generic name. But, this Bruce Brown was ranked 26th in ESPN's top 100 recruits and is playing above that grade so far with the Miami Hurricanes.
In 29.2 minutes per game, Brown has averaged 11 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists. As solid as he's been offensively, he's been even better defensively with 1.7 steals per game and a defensive rating of 83.8.
Love the energy that Miami freshman guard Bruce Brown plays with. Skill/feel still a work in progress but a physical athlete who can defend. pic.twitter.com/0MCjtteQgP

His two-way play has produced 2.2 win shares and .232 win shares per 40. Brown's not a superstar, but he is a very good defender at a lengthy 6'5".
