10. 2003-04 Duke Blue Devils

This edition of coach Mike Krzyzewski's Blue Devils was definitely one of his very best throughout his 36-year career in Durham. Their offensive charge was led by J.J. Redick, who averaged 15.9 points and 2.8 three-pointers per game. The sharpshooter accounted for .185 win shares per 40 minutes.

Redick was complemented very nicely by freshman Luol Deng and sophomore Shelden Williams. While Deng averaged 15.1 points and 6.9 rebounds a game, Williams contributed 12.6 points and 8.5 boards. Between them, the duo tallied .523 win shares per 40 minutes of action.

Redick's elite outside game, in partnership with the inside games of Deng and Williams, made for a very efficient offense. According to our numbers, the Devils rated in the 92nd percentile in offensive efficiency meanwhile scoring 79.8 points per game -- 12th in the nation during the '03-04 campaign.

Duke finished the year first in nERD by nearly three whole points, with a 31-6 record and an appearance in the Final Four. Unfortunately, that's where they fell victim to the nation's third-best team, the UConn Huskies.
