5. Tim Duncan, Wake Forest (1996-97)

We know Tim Duncan for his many great seasons in the NBA. But, maybe not as many people know just how good he was in his time at Wake Forest. In his final season, Duncan scored 20.8 points, grabbed 14.7 boards and blocked 3.3 shots per contest.

At the same time, the Big Fundamental made 60.8% of his field goals and shot .699 free throws per field goal attempt. The result was 10.4 win shares on the season on an average of .366 per 40 minutes.

Duncan was also awarded Player of the Year honors. However, in spite of a 24-7 regular season record, the Demon Deacons won just a single postseason game before losing to Stanford in the second round of March Madness.
