10. North Carolina Tar Heels - At a shade under 58 percent, UNC is the country top rebounding team, helping the 98th-ranked team in shooting percentage come in at 34th with regard to total scoring. The Tar Heels' top-ranked strength of schedule helps account for why a 17-7 team is so high on this list.

9. Cincinnati Bearcats - Cincy is tops in defensive rating and second in scoring defense, allowing just 56.1 points per game. The Bearcats also rank in the top 10 in total rebounding and steals per personal foul.

8. Auburn Tigers - Auburn is one of six teams to rank in Kenpom's top 25 in offense and defense. The Tigers rank 7th nationally in scoring offense with 86 points per game thanks to their 27th-ranked pace, while also ranking top 10 in free throws made (19) and free throw percentage (78%).

7. Kansas Jayhawks - KU uses a combination of sharp shooting and ball movement to rank 27th in scoring. Kansas also averages 17.7 assists per game --10th in the nation -- and ranks 7th in effective field goal percentage.

6. Tennessee Volunteers - The Vols rank seventh in Kenpom defense in part due to facing the nation's toughest group of offenses. Tennessee ranks 24th in three-point shooting percentage at 39.8 percent while holding opposing teams to 40 percent shooting -- 30th in the country.
