5 Struggling Teams Entering the 2019 NCAA Tournament
Marquette Golden Eagles
After having a shot at a Big East regular season title, the Marquette Golden Eagles sputtered down the stretch, losing all of their final four games in regular-season play.
They had a chance to get back to their winning ways in the Big East tournament. But after defeating a St. John's team that might be struggling even more badly than Marquette, the Golden Eagles fell to the Seton Hall Pirates, a team that would have been dicey for the tournament without that win.
Losing five of your final six games after starting your season 23-4 probably isn't the best way to gain momentum heading into the NCAA tournament. Marquette will need to rebound quickly as they face Ja Morant and the Murray State Racers in the first round.
