Big East

Average Team nERD: 9.87

Surprisingly, the Big East comes in at number two. While it's no longer your father's Big East, the conference has had a really good year thus far.

The conference's total win percentage is 62.8%, and it boasts the nation's top offensive conference. Based on our metrics, it's a pretty average defensive conference, but the Big East is one of the most well-rounded

Among several average offenses -- four teams between the 51% and 63% percentiles offensively -- the Big East boasts three teams (Georgetown, Xavier, and Villanova) better than 80% of the country's offenses.

Six Big East teams, including the three previously mentioned, crack our top 50, and according to our metrics, seven are on their way to March Madness.
