Corey Coleman Will Be a Top-30 Receiver

By Joe Redemann

The transition to the NFL is usually difficult for Baylor alums like wide receiver Corey Coleman, but with Robert Griffin III starting at quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, the deep-ball is going to be a focal point of the offense. From 2012 to 2014, Griffin had a 45.6 percent completion rate on deep passes -- the sixth-best completion rate on deep passes among NFL quarterbacks.

This means that deep-threat rookie Coleman will thrive: Coleman was one of just three NCAA receivers in 2015 to have a yards per reception mark above 18.0 to go along with over 100 targets and at least a 60 percent catch rate. Coleman might not lead the team in touchdowns, but his yardage could be spectacular with how often the Browns will throw while trailing. It's very easy to imagine a 15.0 yards per reception rate and 65 catches for Coleman this year.
