8 Fantasy Football Sleepers for Week 2
Shane Vereen, RB, New York Giants
The New York Giants' offense is in as good a spot as you could ever ask for this week, taking on the New Orleans Saints and their NCAA-level defense.
The Saints finished dead last in 2015 with a schedule-adjusted 0.22 Defensive Passing NEP per play, and there was a bigger gap between the Saints and the 31st-ranked Chicago Bears' defense than there was between the Bears and the 10th-ranked Cincinnati Bengals' defense.
The Saints also lost one of their best defenders in Delvin Breaux to a broken leg last week, and the Giants have a huge 28.5 implied total here.
Shane Vereen saw a solid workload for the Giants in Week 1, playing 24 of a possible 56 snaps, while seeing 5 targets (second on the team behind only Odell Beckham) and handling 6 of the team's 24 rushing attempts.
With what looks like a sizable role in the Giants' offense this year and an ideal matchup this week, Vereen can offer useful production for your fantasy team.
