Dolphins' quarterback Ryan Tannehill is one of the five lowest-salaried quarterbacks on FanDuel this week. Sam Bradford, Jay Cutler, and even rookies Dak Prescott, and Carson Wentz cost more than Tannehill this week. Jackpot, right?
Not so fast, my friends.
According to our Passing NEP metric, Tannehill was one of the three least efficient quarterbacks in the league in 2015. His 33.99 Passing NEP ranked 25th among the 27 quarterbacks who made at least 350 drop backs last season. In terms of Passing NEP per drop back, Tannehill ranked 32nd out of the 46 signal callers with at least 100 drop backs.
The Dolphins currently have an implied total of 17.75 points, the second-lowest of the slate. It'll be an extremely difficult environment Miami's passing game, much like their season opener at Seattle. Since 2014, opposing quarterbacks have averaged 12.23 FanDuel points in Gillette Stadium.
