Week 4 NFL Advanced Analytics Superstars
Running Back: Isaiah Crowell
Isaiah Crowell, RB, Cleveland Browns
15 Rushes, 112 Yards, 1 Touchdown
3 Receptions, 22 Yards, 4 Targets
Performance: 96, NEP: +7.73
Crowell turned in a fantastic performance against the Washington front seven. He was able to pick up 112 rushing yards and 1 score on just 15 carries while grabbing an additional 22 yards on 3 receptions.
Crowell was one of the under-the-radar plays of the week, with him averaging over 100 total yards and 16.2 PPR points per game prior to this matchup. He was able to find the holes against Washington with ease, averaging 7.5 yards per carry while breaking 11 tackles, according to ProFootballFocus' Pat Thorman. His Rushing NEP of +11.29 paces the league by a landslide, with the next-closest runner -- Le'Veon Bell -- coming in at +6.51. While the offense as a whole may be struggling, Crowell certainly isn't a part of the problem.
Crowell finished as the overall RB7 this week. Through four weeks, Crowell ranks as the RB6 on the season, averaging 15.5 points per game. He continues to be an under-used and under-priced player for DFS purposes, and our metrics have Crowell playing as one of the best in the league so far in 2016.
