10 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Targets Heading Into Week 9
Jamison Crowder, WR, Washington Redskins
ESPN Ownership: 44.5%
Yahoo Ownership: 49%
The Washington Redskins and Jamison Crowder get the obligatory (unless you're the Colts) post-London bye in Week 9, but it's time to realize that Crowder -- available in more than half of the leagues on both ESPN and Yahoo -- has been the best wide receiver on the Redskins this season.
He has now gone over 100 yards receiving in two straight weeks and has scored double-digit PPR fantasy points in seven of eight weeks this season. Crowder has averaged 7.12 targets per game in 2016.
DeSean Jackson left the Week 8 game with an injury. If Jackson were to miss games, Crowder would become even more heavily targeted moving forward.
The Redskins have a tough second-half schedule, but Crowder gets the Carolina Panthers and Chicago Bears who have allowed the ninth-and seventh-most fantasy points per game to wide receivers in Weeks 15 and 16 -- the heart of the fantasy playoffs.
