Theo Riddick, RB, Detroit Lions

FanDuel Price: $6,600
Salary Change: Up $600

Theo Riddick returned from injury last week and saw a season-high 11 targets, turning 8 of them into 77 yards and a touchdown. There have been plenty of great receiving backs in the NFL, but not many full-time starters have seen such a large portion of their fantasy production come from the passing game. This season, 70.2 percent of Riddick’s FanDuel points have come from receptions, receiving yards, or receiving touchdowns.

He’s scored 4 touchdowns on 34 receptions this season, but that’s way higher than his career touchdown percentage. Before this year, he only totaled 7 touchdowns on 118 career receptions. Now, some of his success this season can be attributed to the beautifully-designed screens by offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter, but odds are stacked against Riddick in continuing this scoring rate.

He’ll face the Minnesota Vikings this week, who do allow the sixth-most receiving yards to running backs per game, but the Lions have the lowest implied team total of the week with just 17.5 points. The combination of Riddick’s inevitable touchdown regression and the Lions’ projected low offensive output this week means you should let other DFS players roster Riddick at a higher salary.
