The Jacksonville Jaguars' -0.09 Adjusted Rushing NEP per Play Ranks 30th

The only two teams ranking lower in rushing efficiency than the Jacksonville Jaguars this season are the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Minnesota Vikings, who both lost their starting running backs within the first two weeks of this season.

After finishing last season dead last in the NFL with -0.10 Adjusted Rushing Net Expected Points, they have actually improved slightly in 2016. But staying among the bottom-three teams in rushing efficiency surely was not what they had in mind when they added Chris Ivory to their rushing attack this offseason.

Among all 45 running backs with 50 or more rushing attempts this season, Ivory currently ranks dead last with -0.19 Rushing NEP per play, while T.J. Yeldon ranks 42nd with -0.14. Both running backs are playing at their least efficient level of their careers.

With four of their remaining seven games coming against teams who rank 20th or worse in Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP, the Jaguars do have an opportunity to turn their rushing attack around. If they cannot do it with this schedule, then they will really need a makeover in the offseason.
